For starters, I think this is a great platform for Arkansas residents to exchange items for their hobby. Thanks to whoever is making this place possible.
How can we promote this place to bring more traffic here? Facebook might take such a promotion as a firearm sale and restrict or ban an account for promoting this place. I’m open to do my part to help out…what can be done?
This website has a FB advertisement page that can be shared to any group. Its just a flyer that shows what the website does and has a link. 🙂
yes sir! I have seen that FB post and have shared it to my gun buddies.
Some of us go to AR gun shows and a small hand out might work too. If the promoto or vendor is asked nicely, a short stack could be left on a table for the general public too.
@lakeside I have definitely mentioned printing out the flyer and handing it to people at shows. Even if they just let us put a small stack on the entrance table for like $5 or something. Couldnt hurt at all!. And I'm sure the site creator woyld be more then happy with us getting the word out by any means possible.
@lakeside I have passed out fliers at gun shows and its pretty easy. Everytime i go to to a gun shop I mention it as well and just show them the site there. This really has been a pretty sweet site. I'm all about promoting it!
@Kwiver Has anyone that goes to the shooting ranges left flyers?, that would probably be the 2nd best place after a booth at gun shows.
Also, i thought at 1 time i had seen a thread about the forumn suggestions but not seeing it again.
My biggest suggestion... put an envelope icon on the home page next to the members icon. It's a pain having to goto my member page to check for messages. If you want some very good page layout information and more, look at the INGO...Indiana Gun Owners forum that i had belonged to for years.
@gassprint1 we saw your suggestions we like them! We will see what we can do!
I definitely think handouts at shows are a great idea. Posting one on the bulletin board at the Mayflower AGFC range would be great. I'm sure they'll let you leave some in the lounge area as well. They've got lots of traffic there as well as special events. if you could get their schedule of events and drop some off prior to it you'd probably see an uptick. As with everything these days a QR link on it is a must have. Tom Dupriest at Shoothouse USA in Conway would probably take some. He sells a few handguns there but the exchange would give him a wider platform for sales. There's the range at Menifee and the Cleburne county gun club at Heber Springs. Hardware stores and bait shops would be a good idea since a lot of folks that own guns do business there. Then there's good old grass roots word of mouth. I've told my friends about it. It's a good site, easy to navigate. The big deal is that it is LOCAL I know that's a huge deal for me. Anything that promotes the 2A lifestyle I'm for it.
